Please welcome Sonia Thapar of The Chef Alliance! With a background in business and marketing, Chef Sonia first founded her Personal Chef & Catering service, ‘Sonia’s Spicy Secrets’ back in 2003. At the time, she wanted to transform the industry, and became a regular attendee at foodie events, and daytime TV cooking segments. This passion for transformation also led Sonia in 2005, to take over the helm The Chef Alliance, a national org for Personal Chefs, and to then grow it to include foodservice, caterers, culinary instructors, meal kit and prepared meal service providers, artisan bakers, and food producers. Sonia’s other super-special ‘Secret’ was how she understood the profound challenges food business were facing, especially when getting liability insurance.
