CWIF Pop Up Picnic

In this outdoor event on the historic grounds of the Ashbridge Estate in Toronto's East End, we'll breathe in the fresh air, bond over the breaking of bread, and relax with our food family.

Plan Your Picnic:

1. Keep it simple or bust out a unique picnic n' pillow style*
2. Bring a tablecloth or picnic blanket
3. Prepare what you would like to eat, drink and share with others**
4. Pack reusable dinnerware and cutlery
5.  Check the weather and dress for the occasion

ABOUT ASHBRIDGE ESTATE:

In 1972, the last remaining Ashbridges on the Estate – Dorothy Bullen and her sister Elizabeth Burton – generously donated the Ashbridge Estate to the Ontario Heritage Trust, which includes two houses, several outbuildings, and the surrounding property containing beautiful gardens.  Building Roots of Toronto, a charitable community partner of Canadian Women In Food, utilizes the estate gardens as an urban farm to help nourish their goals towards building social cohesion through access to local food.
